Frequently asked questions
Can I switch plans anytime?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time. When you upgrade, you get immediate access to new features. When you downgrade, your current plan runs until the end of the billing period.
What happens when I hit a limit?
We'll notify you as you approach your limits. You won't lose any data or monitoring coverage. We'll prompt you to upgrade. On the Business plan, contact us and we'll increase your limits.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Switch to annual billing in your team settings to save 17%. That's effectively two months free. You can flip between monthly and annual at any renewal.
Which plan should I pick?
Free for personal projects. Starter when you outgrow 5 monitors but don't need on-call paging or AI yet. Pro when you have a real on-call rotation and want AI-drafted postmortems. Business when you need SSO, voice paging, white-label, or unlimited AI.
How does AI postmortem drafting work?
On Pro and Business, the incident detail page has a 'Draft with AI' button. We send the incident timeline to our AI provider, draft a structured postmortem (summary, root cause, impact, action items), and prefill the form for you to review and edit. AI never auto-publishes — you stay in control. Both Pro and Business include AI features without per-month caps; there's nothing to configure on your end.
How does on-call seat pricing work?
Pro and Business include 1 on-call responder. Anyone you add to a second on-call schedule or escalation policy is billed at $8/month per responder ($80/year — about 17% off). A responder is anyone listed in any of your team's on-call schedules or escalation steps; team members not on rotation aren't charged. The seat add-on adjusts automatically — no manual flag flips when someone joins or leaves the rotation.
Can I change my on-call seat count from the Paddle customer portal?
The Signalog dashboard is the source of truth for on-call seats. Your responder count is computed from the team's on-call schedules and escalation policies; the Paddle subscription quantity is updated automatically to match. If you edit the seat quantity manually in Paddle's portal, the next schedule or escalation change will overwrite it back to whatever the dashboard says. To change what you're billed for on-call, add or remove the relevant user from a schedule or escalation policy in Signalog — that flows through to Paddle within a few seconds.
Need more than Business limits?
Business plan limits (500 monitors, 50 status pages, 50 members) can be increased on request. Contact us and we'll tailor a plan to your needs. Including dedicated regions, custom retention, and SLA.
Do you offer SSO/SAML?
Yes. SAML 2.0 SSO is included on the Business plan. Configure your identity provider (Okta, Google Workspace, Azure AD, Auth0, OneLogin) under Team Settings → SSO. Enforce SSO-only login to require all team members to sign in via your IdP.
