What is Signalog?
Signalog is an all-in-one uptime monitoring, status page, and incident management platform. It combines the tools you need to keep your services reliable and your users informed — monitoring, alerting, on-call scheduling, changelogs, and public status pages — in a single product.
Create your account
Head to signalog.dev and click Start free. Enter your email and password to create an account. You’ll be dropped straight into the dashboard — no email verification required to get started.
Set up your team
Every resource in Signalog lives inside a team. After signing up, you’ll be prompted to create your first team.
- Click Create Team and give it a name (e.g., your company or project name).
- Choose a URL slug — this becomes part of your status page URL.
- Select a plan. The free tier includes up to 5 monitors and 1 status page.
You can invite team members later from Settings > Team Members.
Create a project
Projects let you organize monitors and status pages by service, environment, or however you prefer.
- Open the sidebar and click New Project.
- Enter a project name (e.g., “Production API” or “Marketing Site”).
- Click Create.
Add your first monitor
With your project selected:
- Navigate to Monitors and click New Monitor.
- Choose HTTP as the monitor type.
- Enter the URL you want to check (e.g.,
https://api.example.com/health). - Set the check interval — 60 seconds is a good default.
- Click Create Monitor.
Signalog will run the first check immediately. Within seconds, you’ll see the result — response time, status code, and whether the check passed.
See your results
Head back to the Monitors list. Your new monitor will show its current state (Up, Down, or Unknown) along with the uptime percentage and average response time. Click into it to see the full response time chart and check history.
Next steps
- Create a more detailed monitor with custom headers, expected status codes, and regions
- Set up your public status page
