Terms of Service

Last updated: May 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Signalog platform (the "Service"), operated by Printique Studios Limited Company, a company registered in Ghana, doing business as "Signalog" ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction. You may not use the Service if you are located in, or are a national or resident of, any country that is subject to comprehensive sanctions imposed by the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, or the United Nations Security Council, or if you appear on any government list of restricted parties.

If you accept these Terms on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" refers to that entity throughout these Terms.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering, and keep it updated.
  • Verify your email address. We may restrict access to certain features (including team invites and billing changes) until your email is verified.
  • Keep your password and any access tokens confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support@signalog.dev if you suspect unauthorised access.

2. The Service

Signalog provides uptime monitoring, multi-region health checks, public status pages, incident management, on-call rotation, AI-assisted incident-response features, and changelog publishing (collectively, the "Service"). The specific features available to you depend on your subscription plan. We may add, change, deprecate, or remove features over time; for material reductions affecting paid plans we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only to monitor systems, services, and infrastructure that you own or have explicit, contemporaneous authorisation to monitor. You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Probe, scan, or monitor any third-party system without that party's documented permission (this includes "bug bounty" research outside the program's defined scope).
  • Generate excessive load against a target endpoint, conduct denial-of-service activity, or configure check intervals designed to harm a system you don't own.
  • Use Signalog's outbound paging (email, SMS, voice) to send unsolicited messages, marketing, or content unrelated to incident response.
  • Submit prompts, content, or data to AI features that violates the AI provider's acceptable use policy (we list our AI subprocessors in the Privacy Policy).
  • Publish unlawful, harmful, defamatory, harassing, infringing, or hateful content via status pages, changelogs, postmortems, or incident updates.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service except as expressly permitted by law.
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without our written agreement.
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law in Ghana, your country of residence, or the country of any system you monitor.

Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account, and may be reported to relevant authorities. We reserve the right (but assume no obligation) to remove content that violates these Terms.

4. Subscriptions, fees, and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle through Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle") acting as our Merchant of Record. Your contract for the payment is with Paddle. Prices are listed in United States Dollars on our pricing page; Paddle may convert to your local currency at checkout.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price. You can cancel renewal at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

We may change prices for new or renewed subscriptions. We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase affects your renewal; you can cancel before the renewal date if you don't want to accept the new price.

Failed payments are retried by Paddle on its standard dunning schedule. If we can't collect, your subscription is downgraded to the Free plan and plan-gated features become unavailable. Your historical data is preserved for 90 days after downgrade so you can re-subscribe without losing context.

5. Credits

AI features and certain on-call paging channels (SMS, voice) are charged from your team's credit balance. Paid plans include a monthly credit grant; you can purchase additional credit packs as needed. Credit pricing is published at signalog.dev/pricing.

  • Granted credits (included with your plan) reset at the start of each calendar month and don't carry over. Use them or lose them.
  • Purchased credits never expire while your account remains in good standing. Refunds for credit pack purchases are handled by Paddle under our Refund Policy; once credits have been spent, the consumed portion may not be refundable.
  • You can opt into auto-top-up, which charges your card for a configured pack when your balance drops below a threshold. Auto-top-up has a hard monthly cap that you set — we won't charge above it under any circumstances.
  • Credits are a usage measure for the Service; they are not money, securities, or transferable property. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for cash, and can't be transferred between teams.

6. Your data and content

You retain all rights to the data, configurations, status page content, changelogs, and incident records you submit to or generate through the Service ("Customer Data"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transmit, and display Customer Data solely as necessary to operate and improve the Service for you and to meet our obligations under these Terms.

You're responsible for the legality of Customer Data, for obtaining any consents required to publish it (e.g., on a public status page), and for the accuracy of any information you publish under your branding.

AI features: when you use AI assistance (postmortem drafts, translations, runbook suggestions, etc.), prompts and relevant context are sent to our AI subprocessors. The AI providers don't train their models on your data, but you should not include secrets, credentials, or third-party confidential information in AI inputs. We don't store AI prompt content beyond what is required for the immediate response.

Data export and deletion: at any time during your subscription, and for 90 days after termination, you can request a complete export of Customer Data via support@signalog.dev. After 90 days, Customer Data is deleted from active systems; backup copies are purged within 30 additional days.

7. Intellectual property

The Service — including its software, design, brand assets, and documentation — is owned by Signalog and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access and use the Service according to your subscription plan, solely for your internal business or personal use.

Feedback you provide about the Service is non-confidential, and we may use it without obligation or compensation.

8. Service availability

We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the Service, excluding scheduled maintenance, force majeure events, and disruptions to third-party services we depend on (cloud hosting, Payment Processor, SMS/voice carriers, AI providers). We'll communicate scheduled maintenance at least 24 hours in advance where reasonably possible.

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of monitoring results, and uninterrupted availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Signalog or its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, lost revenue, business interruption, or the cost of substitute services — arising out of or relating to the Service, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability arising from or related to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (e.g., for fraud, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct).

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Signalog from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your Customer Data, including claims that it infringes a third party's rights; or (c) your use of the Service to monitor systems without authorisation.

We will defend, indemnify, and hold you harmless against third-party claims that the Service, as provided by us and used in accordance with these Terms, infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, subject to our right to control the defence and settlement.

11. Term and termination

These Terms apply from the moment you create an account and continue until terminated. You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting support; termination takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless you specify otherwise.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if (a) you materially breach these Terms, including the Acceptable Use section; (b) we're required to do so by law or court order; or (c) we reasonably believe your account is being used to harm others. For non-material issues, we'll give you at least 14 days' notice and a chance to remedy the breach before termination.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we'll handle Customer Data per Section 6. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and Miscellaneous) survive.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Accra, Ghana, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

Before initiating any formal proceeding, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith by contacting the other in writing and engaging in at least 30 days of good-faith discussions.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may also bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence, and you retain any non-waivable rights under your local consumer protection law.

13. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email and by updating this page's "Last updated" date. Non-material changes (typos, clarifications, additions of new features) take effect when posted. If you don't agree to a material change, you can cancel your subscription before it takes effect; continued use after the effective date is your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Miscellaneous

  • Assignment. You can't assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
  • Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
  • Force majeure. We're not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, war, internet outages, third-party service failures, government actions).
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
